TKD and More

These are of Jessica competing at the Black Belt World - In House Festival where she took home a trophy for completing a 21 day reading challenge and a Blue ribbon for an "Outstanding Performance" and Jason took home a Red Ribbon for a "Superior Performance". That gentleman sitting on the chair in the corner by the counter is Grand Master Lee. He is the President and Founder of Black Belt World, the TKD school that they attend. It was a great honor and privilege for us to meet him.

Wow, I didn't realize it had been so long since I have updated, so here it is.

Jessica and Jason are both in Tae Kwon Do, and they are both high white belts now. They have signed up for the Instructors program which is 4 years long, and by the end of it, they should both be 2nd degree black belts, and be able to teach Tae Kwon Do. Jessica attends TKD 5 or 6 days a week, and now will attend 2 classes instead of 1 on Mondays, and Jason attends 2-4 days a week. They enjoy it a lot. Jason received another raise at work a couple weeks back. It was a very welcomed surprise. Jason is still enjoying his job. I have finally found another neurologist here in the area, and will be seeing him for the first time on Halloween. We will see how it goes. Life here at the house is hectic and crazy as usual. We have been sharing a car and a scooter between Jason, myself and Pops (Art), so I still spend quite a bit of my time during the day driving around. Hopefully things will start to slow down soon, and we can all start to feel normal again. Oh yeah...Alyssa will be moving up here probably sometime in November, at least that's the plan for now. We will see.
Jessica's birth father, Papa Dave, has been working very hard to make regular phone calls to Jessica and to try and build a relationship with her. Many people have asked me why I allow it, but to me it is pretty simple. Jessica had a right know where she came from, and I have never spoken negatively about him to her, so why wouldn't she want to know him? He is making a trip out here for her birthday this year, and she is very excited. Jason and I want her to be happy. She enjoys their time on the phone together and I think it's going to be good for her. Jessica is doing good in school, her 5th grade teacher (I know...I can't believe she's in 5th grade either) told us that he is going to have a hard time challenging her this year. She was tested for GATE, but I'm not sure what came of it yet. Whether or not she is accepted into GATE, her teacher will be requesting help from the GATE teacher to challenge her and keep her out of trouble. He said that she may come across as a problem student, but she is not, she just isn't being challenged.
For those who don't know, we always have a hard time getting our tax return. This year has been even worse. To make a long story short, they have completely lost our tax return. So for the 4th time this year, we are having to send it in again. I am so glad that mom taught me to hang on to my legal and tax papers. It will come, but who knows when. We are keeping a positive outlook on it though...We have money coming, and when it does, BOY WILL BE SURPRISED:)
I am ready for a vacation, time away from everyone and all of the stresses in my life right now. Maybe for Christmas I will get a weekend away. Other than that I am hanging in there.
That's it for now
Love Y'all
